Reformation Project

So after creating my best friends wedding shoes from an old pair of heels, I was still itching to create something else ‘weddingy.’

….All up until I had to try on my bridesmaid dress – A beautiful creation from reformation (I’ve fan girled this brand for a while so I was ecstatic when I found this one ( or ) when Kate decided to go for these beauties.

Unfortunately it swamped me. You can see from the photo how long it was. The fabric wastage was huge, which turned out to be a blessing as I was ready to get crafting my next pair of shoes - My bridesmaid shoes with the fabric wastage.

Attending weddings, we all know that feeling of endlessly searching for the right accessory to match your dress or vice versa. When you turn to craft it isn't always a huge drama as you can simple put your mind to it and craft your very own!

So out of my reformation dress and a little elbow grease, I also gained a beautiful pair of open toes sandals and zero wastage. It’s nice to know reformation as a brand itself, also have a conscious awareness of their impact on the environment. Here’s what we learned in the studio:

'Reformation is committed to minimising our environmental impact and achieving fair, safe and healthy working conditions throughout our supply chain. We seek to partner with suppliers who share a common vision of sustainability, accountability, and transparency.'

Let's hope we continue to see more brands like @reformation take responsibility for their footprint.
