Tailored for those aspiring to master high-end fashion, this immersive workshop offers a rare opportunity to delve into the art of creating exquisite leather bags.
Over five enriching days, immerse yourself in the techniques and secrets of luxury bagmaking. From selecting the finest leathers to mastering intricate stitching and finishing touches, you'll learn the skills needed to create luxury leather handbags.
Under the guidance of expert instructors with a passion for luxury design, you'll gain invaluable insights into the world of high-end luxury craftsmanship.
Workshop Structure
Our workshops run for 5 consecutive days from 10am to 4pm, with a 1-hour lunch break.
Day 1
On Day 1, you will select a design from our range of pre-developed bag patterns, and choose from our selection of beautiful leathers, we will also teach you about the different types of leather, reinforcements and hardware used in luxury bagmaking. We will also learn expert knife skills as you cut your pieces in preparation for assembling your bag.
Day 2
On Day 2, we will start by teaching you the expert hand-stitching techniques used by luxury bag ateliers. Once your lining has been prepared we will start the assembly process, using your new-found hand-stitching skills to start piecing together your bag. We usually start on the inside by adding internal pockets to the bag.
Day 3
On Day 3, your handcrafted bag will continue to take form as your skills progress. We will be working on top handles and adding any necessary hardware to your bag.
Day 4
On Day 4, your bag will continue to take its form, with a focus on additional pieces, specifically, removable or adjustable cross-body straps.
Day 5
On Day 5, the final day, you will add the finishing touches to your work, and intricately paint your leather edges for a professional-looking finish.
What styles can I choose from?
During this workshop you'll have time to make one of the following handbags.
Baguette Bag
This bag comes in two sizes and has an adjustable strap so it can easily go from a shoulder handbag to cross-body bag.
The bag is fully lined with an inside pocket.
Mini Bowling Bag
This little bag packs a lot more into it than you'd think! She's got a lovely big base meaning it's got that cute mini handbag look whilst still being a practical bag.
The bag has rolled handles, a top zip and an optional cross-body strap. She's also fully lined with an inside pocket.
Top Handle Bag
This little bag is perfect for day to night. She fits way more than you'd think and closes securely with a magnetic fastening.
The bag has a structured base and top handle. She's also fully lined with an inside pocket.
Tote Bag
This everyday tote bag has a top zip and reinforced rolled handles.
It's fully lined with with pockets galore, fitting all of your daily essentials including laptop, water bottle, lunchbox or even a stack of nappies!
