Did you know you can make shoes (and bags!) using Bargello?
We teamed up with our friends over at @TheBargelloEdit to make a pair of fun bargello strap sandals to celebrate the launch of their Summer Lovin' collection! This isn't an Ad and these aren't for sale, it's just a fun project to bring you a little inspo & get you thinking outside the box about what you can use to make interesting shoes.
Now if you know me you'll know that while I love shoes (obvs) I am actually OBSESSED with tiny handbags 🤩 So I am beyond excited to get my hands on one of the new @TheBargelloEdit kits.
This is a seriously awesome small business to support & a really easy craft to try, Nerrisa sent me her book last year and I LOVE it!
The Summer Lovin' collection bags are made using raffia yarn (which is 100% recyclable) and she's teamed up with the amazing @hellotreacle.uk to bring you some amazing custom laser-cut handles 🌟 DOUBLE COOL!!

Here’s a little run through of how we made the shoes...
Step 1. Firstly, we cut the insoles out of texon board and added a layer of foam for maximum comfort!
Step 2. We covered the insoles with a black leather and added a neat little purple insole to match the black & purple straps that Nerrisa had made.
Step 3 - Next, we placed the lasts on the insoles and attached the beautiful bargello straps over the lasts, gluing them to the bottom of the soles.
Step 4 - Finally, we added a black rubber randing round the sandals and glued on a layer of thick black EVA foam as the sole for the perfect finish!
Estimated time to make = 3 hours
